Mattel is planning to expand its collection of celebrity Barbies with some new additions this month. Country music stars LeAnn Rimes and Martina McBride, R&B singers Destiny's Child, "I Love Lucy" Lucille Ball and Raven-Symone, the Disney star are all going to immortalized in the celebrity Barbie series.
This is a win-win situation for both parties in the deal. Mattel is very happy to be able to promote its Barbie Dolls by cashing in on the celebrity craze. The celebrities in turn will receive royalty and licensing rights as well as free promotion. We, as end users, aren't complaining, that's for sure!
