VTech VSmile Pocket Learning System

Wednesday November 2, 2005
The VSmile Pocket Learning System from VTech is one of the most talked about electronic learning toys of the year. Portable, easy to use and convenient, this handheld unit can be easily carried everywhere - to games, to the park, to a friend's house or even in the car. An additional plus is that it can be plugged into a regular TV set either at home or in the car, and used on a bigger screen.

The traditional VSmile smartridges will fit into the Pocket Learning System as well, which is great for all those parents looking for an upgrade over the original VSmile TV Learning System.

Priced rather steeply at $89.99, the VSmile Pocket Learning System is a tad too expensive. However, this unit is pretty sturdy, and will provide endless hours of entertainment and educational value to your kids. I would recommend purchasing the additional battery pack along with the unit to avoid unncessary replacement battery charges in the future which tend to mount up.

Overall, the VSmile Pocket Learning System is a wonderful buy for your kids aged between 4 and 8.

Do NOT buy this toy. It has a serious problem with not working. Mine only worked for 2 days and now will no longer turn on, and the AC adapter will not work. Save the $80 and buy some other game system like Leapster

DO NOT BUY THIS TOY! It may be a coincidence but I have had experience with two of these toys and neither one worked. The first one wouldn’t turn on and I exchanged it for another that turns off by itself and we have had it less than 24 hours.

I have owned the VSmile TV Learning System for about a year and a half and my children loved it so much I purchased the VSmile pocket learning System last Christmas. The systems are VERY well built and have recieved a lot of punishment and still works great. The games are interchangable between the systems and are reasonable priced. I do suggest rechargable batteries. Hours of enjoyment and by far one of the best investments I have made!

I just bought another. My 6 year old grandson got one for Christmas 2 years ago. He loves it. It works great & keeps him entertained on long car rides. My younger grandson is in need of one too. Now it is his turn :) Would recommend this product to anyone with kids.

My Mom purchased the V.Smile pocket Learning System last Christmas & it has stopped working. The toy is way too expensive to stop working after only having it for a few months. I would NOT buy this toy!!!!!

THIS IS A WORTHLESS PIECE OF JUNK. Don’t waste your money. My granddaughter has gotten two of them. The first one worked one game and the second one lasted all of five games. Won’t turn on and can’t get any help from these people. Buy something different with your hard earned money.
