Toy Of The Year Award Winners Announced

Wednesday February 15, 2006
The Toy Of The Year Award winners for 2006 were announced at the American International Toy Fair in NYC, even as a blizzard hit the city. The toy industry bounced back very quickly after the snowstorm, and things were very busy at the Toy Fair at the Javits Center.

Lots of high quality toys were nominated for the Toy Of The Year awards. This year, Leap Frog's Pentop Computer swept the Toy Of The Year awards, winning three awards including the "Toy Of The Year" award itself. Dora The Explorer from Nick won the Property Of The Year award for the second time in a row. There were some surprises, but overall, the judges made excellent decisions.
