Educational Wooden Toys

Saturday April 8, 2006
I cannot enumerate enough on the benefits of wooden toys for your children. In addition to being durable, well-made wooden toys are educational, can be easily cleaned, don't have any sharp parts, and can be easily handled by small hands.

Wooden toys can be amazingly educational - right from rattles for babies, to pull push toys, to building blocks. One of my favorite manufacturers of wooden toys is Haba. Haba is well known for it's quality wooden toys which are hand crafted in Germany. Haba's toys have multiple coats of natural, water-based, non-toxic lacquers, which make them completely child-safe.

Without any further ado, here are some great educational wooden toys for your children.

I bought some wooden blocks for my son before he could even use them. He was just a baby. Now, 10 years later, these blocks are still going strong and rank right up there with his Legos as his favorite toys. Wooden toys are the best and things like blocks and push cars/trucks, etc. are so open-ended, so there’s no limit to what they can do with them. I’d give every battery-powered, cheap plastic toy he has for some more of those blocks.

“…Wooden toys can be amazingly educational - right from rattles for babies, to pull push toys, to building blocks. …” completely agree. There is something about wooden toys that makes them “warmer” or something.
