The Doll Wars - Barbie vs Bratz Yet Again!

In a bid to compete for the largest share of the doll market, it seems like the two big toy companies Mattel and MGA are at it again.
This fall, MGA plans to introduce Bratz Diamondz, a line of Bratz dolls which includes a piece of jewellery with a real diamond chip, complete with a certificate of authenticity. The line includes Bratz dolls all dressed up in sparkly clothes and jewellery. In the meantime, Mattel has introduced it's new My Scene Bling Bling line, a flashy new line of dolls with lots of bling bling - sparkly faux jewellery. But wait, there's more. Mattel plans to introduce a new My Scene Bling Bling doll with a piece of real jewellery - a "real gem ring" in July!
The tussle between the two companies should get interesting. At the end of the day, it's the little girls who have to decide which doll its gonna be - the Barbie or the Bratz!

I am really looking forward to the Bratz Forever Diamondz collection! It’s sad that a company like Mattel is relying on copy cat products to “beat” the Bratz in sales. Children are smarter than that. They don’t want cheap imitations, they want the real deal and that is the Bratz.

I think it is plain wrong how these dolls nower days not only look like tramps but are also minature paris hiltons… Come one now, does any girl’s doll really need real jewlery? and what are the prices? who can afford that?
I just think that we need to stop teaching our furture women to be so vain!
What are you training your daughters to mimic. Bratz look like hoes. You know they were designed by a man from Iran who probably does think that all American Girls are hoes. Do not spend another dime on these trashy looking dolls.
I have 13 barbies and 1 bratz. I like them both, but my mother said that bratz are scary she more like barbie. And my mother is a very good critic.Good thing my bratz isn’t scary because her face is soft.

B4 I loved Barbie, but now I’m not so sure. Barbie is still the no. 1 doll in the world, but Bratz is on top. I’m telling you, there are more of Bratz collectors than Barbie!
