Uncle Milton's Ant Farm Celebrates It's 50th Ant-iversary

Sunday May 21, 2006
This year there are a couple of classic toys which are celebrating their 50th anniversary. Hasbro's Play-Doh is one of them, and another well loved classic toy which is turning 50 is Uncle Milton's Ant Farm. Uncle Milton's Ant Farm is a unique and very educative concept tracing the life history of ants. You have to purchase the ant farm kit, which is a habitat through which you can observe the ants as they move through various stages of their life. The live ants are sent to you via mail.

Steve Levine, the president of Uncle Milton Industries, has written a very interesting article tracing the history of Uncle Milton's Ant Farm. He outlines the origins of the idea, and the way that the company grew from it's humble beginnings to become what it is today. Here's the must-read article on Uncle Milton's Ant Farm by Steve Levine.
