Easy Bake Oven and Lionel Trains in National Toy Hall Of Fame

Easy Bake OvenThe National Toy Hall of Fame at Strong – National Museum of Play recognizes toys that have engaged and delighted multiple generations, inspiring them to learn, create, and discover through play. The Strong Museum, located in Rochester, NY, announced the 2006 inductees into the National Toy Hall Of Fame. The induction ceremony is a yearly affair, and every year, a classic toy is honored with a place in the National Toy Hall Of Fame. Lionel Trains

This year, two long standing classic toys with oodles of history behind them, Hasbro's Easy Bake Oven and Lionel Trains have taken their places in the museum's National Toy Hall Of Fame. This year, 2006, the competition was between the toys Atari® Game System, Big Wheel, Easy-Bake® Oven, Lite-Brite, Fisher-Price® Little People, Hot Wheels®, Lionel® Trains, Operation Skill Game, PEZ® Candy Dispenser, Rubber Duck, Skateboard, and Twister®.
