Magic the Gathering Tenth Edition Now Available!

Wizards of the Coast released the 10th edition of the very popular trading card game Magic The Gathering on July 14th, 2007. A Worldwide Magic Game Day was also celebrated on the same day. Magic The Gathering fans have lots to look forward to in the tenth edition since it has been cited to be the "greatest hits" of magic, and contains some of the most popular cards of all time.

The Magic The Gathering 10th edition set contains 383 cards, out of which 121 are rare, 121 uncommon, 121 common and 20 basic lands. The unique thing is that all the cards in the set are black bordered, and legendary creatures are included for the first time in a core set. Some of the old favorites like Lord of the Pit, Howling Mine and Incinerate have been given a new look.

Keep an eye out for the next Magic the Gathering pre-release event for an opportunity to play in a large scale environment. Pre-release events are typically held 2 weeks before the release date of a new set of cards. The next scheduled pre-release event is for Lorwyn which is slated for September 29-30, 2007.
