Thomas and Friends Recall Sept 2007RC2 Corp announced the recall of additional Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway toys due to the presence of high lead levels in their surface paint. This time around, approximately 200,000 units of the toys are affected. The last Thomas & Friends recall was announced in mid-June this year. The current recall involves 5 cars from the Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway product line, including the the all-black cargo car, toad vehicle, olive green sodor cargo box and all-green maple tree top and signal base accessories. The packaging of the recalled toys has a "Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway" logo at the upper left-hand corner. It's rather alarming to note that these toys have been in circulation since March of 2003, right until the present day.

If you have any of these toys, please take them away from your kids and get your replacement toy from RC2 Corp. Here's the link to the recall on the CPSC website.
