Razor Scooter Recall - Nationwide Recall of Razor E300 Models
The Consumer Product Safety Commission, together with Razor USA LLC, announced a nationwide recall of approximately 20,000 Razor scooters - Razor Model E300. The reason for this recall was that a faulty weld on the handlebars can break, thus causing the handlebar to detach. Obviously, this has serious potential for causing accidents. So far, Razor USA has received 25 reports of the handlebar detaching, fortunately, all resulted in minor scrapes and bruises.
If you have a blue or silver Razor E300 scooter, watch out, because yours may be one of the recalled units. To check if your Razor scooter is one of the faulty ones, simply look at the barcode number which is located on the steering stem, the battery tray, the charger, and the product’s packaging. The recall includes only products with barcodes beginning in 100620-03 through -09. Products with other barcodes or no barcode are not included in this recall.
