Shining Stars "Time to Shine" Contest

Russ Berrie Inc. has announced the Shining Stars ‘Time to Shine’ contest, which began late last week. The "Time to Shine" contest is in the interest of the community, as it benefits the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation.

The contest is all about generosity and making a difference, and encourages children to learn this valuable trait. To compete, kids can donate ‘glow points’, the official currency of the ShiningStars.com site, to the Starlight foundation which benefits seriously ill children and their families.

The winner of the contest, the child who has donated the maximum amount of "glow points", will get to fly into New York City and attend the Starlight Starbright 18th Annual Celebrity Sports Auction on Tuesday, October 30th at Madison Square Garden. Celebrities like Jerricho Cotchery, New York Jets, Sean Avery, New York Rangers, Jamal Crawford, New York Liberty Knicks and Hunter Freeman, New York Red Bulls will all be there. A runner-up will receive a Shining Stars character autographed by High School Musical star and Hollywood Records Recording Artist Corbin Bleu, who is an official Starlight StarPower ambassador.
