Toy Xylophones from Land Of NodApproximately 500 toy xylophones have been recalled by the Land of Nod due to a choking hazard caused by the pegs on the xylophone detaching. These are manufactured in China by Rolling Toy Xylophones and have been distributed by The Land of Nod in Northbrook, Illinois. 22 reports have been received of broken pegs, but no injuries have been reported so far.

The affected product is a rolling xylophone made of metal, wood and plastic. There are eight metal bars which are brightly colored and attached via 2 pegs to the base. These pegs are liable to snap. Look for the name "Janod" printed on each side between the wheels and on the back wheels.

The recalled toy has been sold from October 2007 to March 2008 for around $45 in the Land of Nod catalog and website. If you own any of the recalled toys, you should take it away from your kids and contact The Land of Nod at (800) 933-9904 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday for a credit equal to the purchase price in addition to a $10 gift card.
