Toddler Toy Top Pick: Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube

Follow me on:

I tend to not be a fan of "musical" toys. I like toys where kids can make music like band sets and the like, but toys where a gimmicky song is repeated over and over again is definitely something I think twice about buying. But then I came across the Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube (compare prices), an interactive music toy that lets kids combine the sounds of five instruments -- harp, French horn, piano, flute and violin -- as they play eight of Mozart's greatest works.

Durable, colorful and just plain fun, the cube offers hours of entertainment for your little one. There are hundreds of permutations available as kids can press different buttons to hear the various instruments play, even listening to an entire orchestra. And although the music is battery-powered, I have to say it sounds surprisingly realistic. I find myself humming the tunes to myself, rather than trying desperately to get them out of my head.

I've listed this toy as a "Toddler Top Pick" but really, it works for those much younger and older -- I'd say babies through preschoolers.

(1) toddler toys :

Great pick! I love anything musical for the kids. We have a kids drum set and guitar in the living room it can definitely get loud, but I enjoy listening to it. I think my daughters favorite music toy is the drum set, any type of drums it can be pots and pans with a wooden spoon as well doesn’t matter.
