I love playsets. They were one of my favorite things to play with as a child, and now that I have children to buy for, they are my favorite gifts to give. I love all the possibilities and imagination that comes with a playset -- I love all the pieces (really!) and the little people and animals. From doll houses to superhero hideaways, playsets score big points in my book.
So it should come as no surprise that I'm a big fan of playset king Playmobil. They specialize in creating these wonderful worlds for kids to imagine and offer dozens of different motifs and settings. My current choice is the Playmobil Circus Playset (compare prices), a series of kits all designed around the three-ring world. The main piece is the actual ring, but if you don't want to go that large, there are other smaller kits available, including a band, an animal trainer, an animal trailer and others.

I love play sets too, and some of my dollhouse play sets are still with me, yet in my twins preschool they have this play mobil play set which they really are interested in because they love its different motifs and settings that enhance their imagination and creativity. I find it entertaining just by watching them play while I wait for there dismissal. Also I found this site http://www.classicdollhouses.com/ for parents and teachers looking for ways to introduce kids to creative play.
