One of our favorite games to play as a family is UNO. This fast-paced card came never fails to bring out all of our competitive streaks -- but in a good way. When my daughter was younger though, it was a bit too much for her. We often had trouble finding a way to help her keep up. She desperately wanted to play with us, but sometimes the game was a bit too intense.
Enter UNO Moo (compare prices), a game that incorporates many fun elements of the original UNO game, but on a level young children will enjoy and understand. The purpose is to be the first to get rid of all your barnyard animals by matching colors and figures. And like UNO, once you are down to one piece, there is some yelling involved, although this one is more fun ("UNO MOO!").
This game is great for preschoolers -- it does a good job of teaching colors and matching -- important math skills that will become important later on. Plus it is fun and has a silly element that will keep everyone giggling.
