School-Age Kid Toy Top Pick: Mic-O-Mic Locomotive

Follow me on:

The name of the company that created the Mic-O-Mic Locomotive (compare prices) is Neat Oh!, and boy is it an appropriate name. This amazing model/puzzle is one of the coolest toys I've seen in a long time. Brightly colored with sturdy pieces, kids can either build their own train or create their own device.

You would think shopping for a toy for a child ages 6 - 10 would be easy. But it isn't always. There are so many commercially-based items on the market these days -- not that they are necessarily bad -- but it's nice to find a toy that is all about simply playing and the child's imagination.

I also like that when this is properly assembled, it looks great sitting on a bookshelf.
