New Contest Encourages Young Toy Inventors

Follow me on:

Kids are the ones who play with toys, it stands to reason that they'd probably be great toy creators. That's the logic behind Invention Dimension, a new contest sponsored by By Kids for Kids, Toys "R" Us and JAKKS Pacific, that encourages kids ages 6 to 19 to submit their ideas for toys, including games (indoor, out and board) and sporting equipment. The national grand prize winner will receive a a JAKKS Pacific Prize Pack valued at $1,000 and a trip to JAKKS Pacific headquarters in Malibu, California where they will pitch their invention to the development team there. In addition, the teacher or mentor who inspired the winner of the grand prize will receive $500 worth of JAKKS Pacific classroom and school supplies.

And if that doesn't sound cool enough, a party will be held at Toys"R"Us Times Square in New York City the winner will get a $1,000 gift card.

The contest ends noon EST, January 29, 2010.
