Hot Holiday Toy: Nerf N-Strike Raider CS-35

Follow me on:

My 9-year-old son must have at least 15 Nerf guns. Despite this, whenever we go to the toy store, he's always begging for another one. When I point out the mini arsenal that he has at home, he waves me off, telling me that the gun he is pining for is somehow different. I've come to the conclusion that Nerf guns are similar to Barbie dolls in that there as much as the guns look the same, there are nuances that make each one a must-have.

His newest obsession is the Nerf N-Strike Raider CS-35 (compare prices), Featuring a 35 dart magazine, it's Nerf's highest-capacity gun to date. It has a clear window so you can see how many bullets are left as well as a pump-action handle and two "blasting modes" -- single or multi-shot.

I do like Nerf guns. We have some rules associated with them, but for the most part I know my kids can play with them and not get hurt. My one problem is that we are constantly buying extra bullets as they have this amazing ability to disappear and never be seen again.

Do your kids play with Nerf guns?
