Lead Paint Toy Recall - Bauer Nike Hockey Sticks

From Kristen Ryan, About.com GuideApril 2, 2010

Follow me on:

The CPSC has announced a recall of more than 120,000 Youth and Junior Hockey Sticks that were manufactured by Bauer and sold in the US and Canada. Most of the sticks bear the Nike license. The decals and paint on the sticks, shafts and blades contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead paint standard. Be sure to visit the CPSC website to see a complete list of the recalled hockey sticks.

If you have this recall toy in your home, you should take it away from children immediately. Visit the CPSC website to read more information about this recall and to sign up for free email alerts for future toy recalls. Toys.about.com is also keeping a list of recent toy recalls. I would like to hear what you think about toy recalls. Sound off here!
