Expo Dry Erase Markers - Now Washable!

From Kristen Ryan, About.com GuideMay 2, 2010

Follow me on:

Expo has brand-new, low-odor, dry-erase markers that are washable! (Compare prices.) At the risk of sounding like one of those moms in a laundry-detergent commercial who experiences enlightenment when a stain comes out, I have to say that this is a rather exciting development.

I have a 4-year-old son who is learning to write and any time he wants to practice, we say, "go for it!" A dry-erase board with grid lines for printing and a handful of markers is just the ticket!  I'm just tired of sending him to school in clothes that are permanently stained from his endeavors.

Do they work? Well, here at toys.about.com's high-tech laboratory (erm...my laundry room) I scribbled on a white towel with the markers and threw it in the wash. Each color came right out and they're not stinky at all when the kids are using them.

Thanks, Expo Washable Dry Erase Markers! You've made my life complete.

(Oddly, this isn't the first time I've done laundry for a toy review. Check out Kidzsacks!)

I am sooooooo happy that they are finally doing this. I’ve been awaiting this for a long time. Can’t wait to get them and try them out. I absolutely cannot stand clothes with stains on them (and usually throw them out or recycle them), so this will be fantastic!
