I first saw Sing-A-Ma-Jigs from Fisher-Price at Toy Fair and among thousands of toys, they really stood out. Sing-A-Ma-Jigs are four cute little singing creatures. Squeeze their hands to choose a mode, then squeeze their tummies to make them sing. Squeeze two simultaneously and they harmonize like a little chorus.
Sing-A-Ma-Jigs will be available in stores later this month for around $13 apiece, and trust me, you'll have to buy more than one. They come in four colors and each has its own personality and signature song. One sings, "Home on the Range" while another sings, "Skip to my Lou." The third sings, "When the Saints Go Marching In" and the fourth sings, "Where Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone."
Their little, round mouths are made from terrycloth hair scrunchies, of all things, and when they open you can see teeny, tiny teeth. These are unusual toys but that's what makes them special. I think any child ages 4 and up would love them, but a musically inclined kid would go gaga for them!
