One Step Ahead has announced the recall of 2,700 baby toys called Animal Crackers Giant Stacking Toys. The fabric covering can come apart and expose foam that can become a choking hazard. One 10-month-old baby was reported to have been mouthing the foam and fortunately no injuries have been reported. The recalled baby toy was manufactured in China.
After consumers return the post portion of the toy, One Step Ahead will send them a $50 merchandise credit. I encourage parents to take toy companies up on their offers to fix or replace dangerous toys. It lets them know that parents care about toy quality.
If you have this recall toy in your home, you should take it away from children immediately.
