The CPSC announced a coin purse and toy jewelry recall today. The coin purses recalled were manufactured by Daiso in China and Korea. The zipper pulls have high levels of lead in the paint.
The jewelry recalled by Daiso also has high levels of lead in the clasps. If children put either of these recalled toys in their mouths (and believe me, they do!) they can suffer adverse health effects from the high lead levels.

If you have this recall toy in your home, you should take it away from children immediately. Visit the CPSC website to read more information about this recall and to sign up for free email alerts for future toy recalls. Toys.about.com is also keeping a list of recent toy recalls with recall toy pictures.
