Recalled Toy Halloween Lanterns from Dollar Tree Stores - Dollar Tree Stores Recall Toy Lanterns

Don't let your child trick or treat with these recalled Halloween lanterns!

Dollar Tree Stores announced another toy recall today, its second toy recall this month. 682,000 new Halloween ghost lanterns, skull lanterns and pumpkin lanterns have been recalled because their light bulbs can overheat and cause a burn or fire hazard. The recalled toy lanterns were manufactured in China and sold in Dollar Tree, Dollar Bill$, Occasions, Deal$and Dollar Tree Deal$ stores in the past three months.

Recalled Toy Flashlights from Dollar Tree Stores - Spider-Man Toy Flashlights Recalled

Earlier this week Dollar Tree Stores recalled Spider-Man, Iron Man and Wolverine projector flashlights for the same issue.

If you have any of these recall toys in your home, you should take them away from children immediately, remove the batteries and return the recalled lanterns to a Dollar Tree store for a full refund. Contact Dollar Tree for more information.

It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled toy. Visit the CPSC website to see all of the recall toy pictures, to read more information about this recall and to sign up for free email alerts for future toy recalls. Toys.about.com also has a list of recent toy recalls with recall toy pictures and a new toy-recall information center to make it easy for parents to stay up to date on toy recalls.

Cheap toys are among the most dangerous, frequently recalled toys. Think about how cheaply those one-dollar toys are made. The manufacturers have to cut corners somewhere, and the toys are often dangerous. The CPSC website shows 20 Dollar Tree product recalls and the other dollar stores have had similar problems. Earlier this year Family Dollar Stores recalled toy dart guns that caused two children's deaths. Think twice before you buy cheap toys. You might just get what you pay for.
