If you've got baby gear that you no longer use, toy giant Toys "R" Us has a deal worth looking into.

The "Great Trade-In," a program sponsored by Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us that runs through Monday, February 21, encourages parents to bring in any old cribs, car seats, bassinets, strollers, travel systems, play yards and high chairs in exchange for a 25 percent savings on the purchase of any new baby item, in any of these product categories, from certain manufacturers.

The goal of the event, now in its third year, is to remove potentially unsafe, old items from homes and eliminate the possibility that they will be reused by siblings, handed down to other family members or friends or donated or resold. According to Toys "R" Us, since 2000, more than 60 million juvenile products have been recalled from the marketplace.

Manufacturers participating in the "Great Trade-In" event include Babi Italia, Baby Cache, Baby Europa, Baby Trend, Bassett Baby Premiere, Bergamo, Britax, Carter's, Chicco, Combi, Contours by Kolcraft, Delta, Eddie Bauer, Evenflo, Graco, Jeep, Little Tikes, Safety 1st, S1 by Safety 1st, Signature Series by Graco, Sorelle, Step2 and Summer Infant.

Do you have baby gear lying around the house?
