From February 13-16, toy executives, buyers, marketers, members of the press and many other professionals will be descending on New York City for Toy Fair 2011. Put on by the Toy Industry Association, Toy Fair is expected to attract over 25,000 attendees who will view over 100,000 products. Over the next few weeks, we'll take a look at some of which toys are expected to be hot.
What's a big summer movie without plenty of merchandising to go with it?
This June, The Green Lantern, starring Ryan Reynolds, is expected to hit screens nationwide and promises to be an early blockbuster. In anticipation, Warner Brothers Consumer Products will be rolling out a host of green-related toys at Toy Fair, including the Green Lantern Colossal Cannon, Green Lantern Deluxe Battle Shifters, the Green Lantern Projection Ring, a board game and action figures.
While kids are likely to be excited about the toys, so are fans of the superhero, hoping that the playthings will give them a sneak peak of what they can see in the movie.
