Earlier this month, the Toy Industry Association hosted Toy Fair 2011, a yearly opportunity for toy executives, buyers, marketers, members of the press and many other professionals to preview what toy manufacturers will be selling this year. While some of the products are available immediately, many have later release dates. Here's what I'm wishing I could buy right now.
How do your kids feel about all things creepy crawly? A new toy from Insect Lore may help you to find out.
Get the bravest person in your house to catch a bug (or, for the faint of heart, use a fake) and drop it into the projector. Turn off of the lights and soon enough your catch will grow to up to eight times its size -- or at least its shadow will. The light is safe, so when the fun is done, you can set your new six- or eight-legged friend free.
The Beam a Bug will be available this fall. It will retail for about $20.
Do your kids like bugs?
