Earlier this month, the Toy Industry Association hosted Toy Fair 2011, a yearly opportunity for toy executives, buyers, marketers, members of the press and many other professionals to preview what toy manufacturers will be selling this year. While some of the products are available immediately, many have later release dates. Here's what I'm wishing I could buy right now.
I probably should have titled this one "What Your 3-Year-Old Wants Now From Toy Fair." Let's Rock Elmo from Hasbro is being billed as the "most interactive Elmo ever," and he seems to be living up to the hype. He comes complete with a microphone, tambourine and drum set and can tell you exactly what he is playing. He sings six songs -- more if you add the additional instruments from the Let's Rock line including Cookie Monster's keyboard and Grover's microphone.
I think things are going to get pretty noisy in our house.
The Let's Rock Elmo will be available this fall. It will retail for about $70.
