And so it begins. In a few months, my youngest son will be turning 2. And even though I definitely have time before I have to start his birthday shopping in earnest, I have been giving what we'd like to get him present-wise some thought. It amazes me how far he's come in a year -- 365 days ago he couldn't walk, and now here he is, running and climbing, jumping and even skipping.
That's why I think his "big gift" will likely be a ride-on toy of some sort. I like these types of toys because of their versatility -- they can be played with inside or out -- and that they allow young children to really work their gross motor skills while getting some exercise.
