GeoPalz Encourages Kids to Get Moving

Follow me on:

Just how active is your child? With the GeoPalz (compare prices) activity tracker, you'll never have to wonder. The kid-friendly pedometer, available in a variety of different designs with new ones arriving every three months, fits easily on a waistband and keeps track of how many step your little one (or big one as the case may be) takes every day.

For every mile your child walks, they are rewarded with a "PedPoint" on the GeoPalz site, allowing them to win "activity-focused prizes" such as sports balls, flying discs and gift cards to stores. It takes 2,500 steps to earn a point -- prizes range from a water bottle at 40 points (100,000 steps) to a gift card to Target for 199 points (497,500 steps).

Couple of things to note. A parent must register the child and provide an e-mail address; parents must also pay shipping and handling for the prizes to be sent home.
