So my toddler is a professional car and truck pusher and collector. He will frequently push both large and small cars, while on his hands and knees, all over our living room, like it's his job. You've probably also seen these pint sized little kids, sitting in the shopping carts in the grocery store, while they clutch their vehicles (bus, car, train, or tractor) in either hand, with a fierce, death grip. I don't think I'm the only parent of a child in this age group who is always on the look out for some interesting new trucks.
The latest item he has been rolling around our living room is the John Deere Roll 'n Go Flashlight by Learning Curve. This toy has a very simple concept, tractor by day, flashlight by night. This familiar green and yellow tractor transforms into a flashlight, all by squeezing the large, red button underneath the handle, which in turn flips the hood of the tractor, and shines a stream of white light. Not only that, but it makes a pretty good tractor sound for about 5 seconds before the sound shuts off and the light remains on. Thankfully there is an auto-shut off feature for the light to conserve the battery life. Squeezing the handle again, once the light is on, will also manually turn the light off. The tractor came with 3 "AAA" batteries included. Downfall, there is not an actual on/off switch, which I would prefer, just for my own sanity from the noise at times. I'm a huge fan of multi-use products, and who doesn't need a flashlight every now and then?
