I love to play party games with friends and family members. We enjoy playing cards, board games, and word games, though since having a little one, opportunities to get together to play has become increasingly difficult. Sometimes I finally get the opportunity for a night out, where I often bring along games to play that are great in larger groups, but sometimes we are just not in the company of a gaming crowd.
However, every year, for a few weeks in the summer, my parents rent a cottage at the beach. This year, we got to the gaming early because day 2 of the vacation was plagued by clouds and drizzle. After tiring my little guy out at the beach, even in the rain for the morning, once he finally settled in for a nap we were able to play several rounds of a variety of games that included past and present favorites such as Mille Bornes, Bananagrams, Zip It, Sounds Like a Plan and Gotcha! Milles Bornes is a french card game my mother played as a child, that we learned as kids and now play into our adulthood, still with my parents. What are the games that you enjoyed as a child that you still play now as an adult with your family?
