LEGO Group has announced a new line of girls construction toys for 2012 called LEGO Friends. There will be 23 new sets hitting the shelves, in 2012. The first 14 sets will be available for purchase on January 1st. 4 years of research identified the framework and details of this new line for girls. The new mini-doll LEGO figure is slightly taller than it's predecessors and has interchangeable hair and headpieces. These LEGO's for girls are recommended for kids ages 5-9.
5 LEGO friends, Emma, Stephanie, Mia, Olivia and Andrea live in Heartlake City and enjoy their lives in places such as an inventor's workshop, outdoor bakery cafe, musical stage, design studio and science laboratory. Sets will range in price from $5.99 to $69.99.
