45,000 of these infant toys from Sassy are being recalled due to a potential choking hazard. The small beads located inside the toy can become released from the toy. No injuries have currently been reported.
These toys were sold at Toys R Us, Target, Amazon.com and Carters Stores between July 2012 and October 2012 for Sassy brand items, and August 2011 to October 2012 for the Carters brand items. Sassy brand items retailed for $8. Carters brand items retailed for $14.
The toy is 12 inches tall made of fun, colored fabrics as either monkey or puppy. There is a clear sphere with small beads inside, the toy can be attached to a stroller or car with a ring.
Consumers should remove the toy from their child and contact Sassy for a free replacement toy.
