It's been almost a year since Disney added a whole new cable channel to the line-up, Disney Junior, that features television programming geared for kids in the 2-7 age range, 24 hours per day.
I will not lie, having a 3-year-old son, of all the cable channels we get, this one definitely gets the most action, by far. My son's love for the programming on Disney Junior started with Doc McStuffins, and after he watched every episode on the DVR multiple times, he started asking to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Special Agent Oso, and now, even though he's a boy, the latest show released, Sofia the First. Though I often feel guilty about letting him watch to much television, each one of these shows is unique in its ability to help preschool aged children conquer their fears of the doctor's office, learn how to follow through on common multi-step activities, listen to music from famous composers, and solve mysteries while counting gold doubloons with their favorite pirate Jake.
At Toy Fair last year in New York, even before many of these new shows had launched I learned all about the new Doc McStuffins Time for Your Check-up Doll which has been flying off the toy store shelves since August. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that shortly after the release of the Sofia the First movie, there are already several different Sofia the First toys available exclusively at the Disney Store and DisneyStore.com.
Do your children love any shows on Disney Junior, what's your favorite show that you allow them to watch?
