I can't say enough about how much we love Disney Junior, a cable television channel catering to the likes of children ages 2-7.
Having a son who is 3 and 1/2, he can't get enough of watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates, coincidentally the #1 cable television show amongst boys ages 2-5. He's seen every episode of Doc McStuffins and I wrote a post about the new Sophia the First toys recently released with regard to this new show. Pirate toys, and any themed toys released in conjunction with all of these shows like the Doc McStuffins Time for Your Check-Up doll are extremely popular amongst preschool aged children, Bucky's Pirate Ship from Fisher-Price (pictured left), making them difficult to find at retail stores.
"Jake's Birthday Bash" is the newest episode of Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and it will air on Friday, March 1st. Families are encouraged to partake in the celebration by downloading a printable birthday card that their child can feature in a video submission. Videos will be featured on DisneyJunior.com and others will be aired on television during Monday, February 25 - Friday, March 1, leading up to the release of the new episode. Special pirate themed activities can be downloaded on DisneyJunior.com/JakesBirthday.
