Snow Day Activities for Kids

snow toys, sleds, snow tubesHere in the Boston area, right now we don't have any snow on the ground. By tomorrow morning, with the blizzard they are predicting, we should have almost 2 feet. I'm gearing up for a long day with my 3 and 1/2-year-old son. So here are some snow day activities for kids for you to keep in mind when you are stuck indoors due to inclement weather with your children.

- Hopefully you don't, but if you loose power, don't forget about some of those family board games hiding in the closet, you certainly will plenty of time to finish a full game of Monopoly or learn to play some of those new games that arrived at Christmas

- While you have power, make sure all of the portable gaming devices like the Wii U and Playstation Vita, as well as the tablet toys like the LeapPad2 and the InnoTab2 are all stocked with fully charged batteries

- Most people have inflatable snow tubes and sleds, but here are some of my favorite snow toys. While the storm rages on outside, you'll be able to do plenty of indoor shopping online, with these cool sleds and snowball makers still available to arrive in time for the plenty of snow that will be on the ground through the next several days
