As the name suggests, Creanimaux Farm from Djeco consists of an assortment of 29 vibrantly colored wooden animal pieces. These pieces can be mixed and matched to come up with various animals like a dog, a bunny, a horse, a pig, a chicken or a cow. Kids can even create combinations of any of the above animals to come up with funny and unusual creatures. Most of our little toy testers dissolved into a fit of giggles as they tried out various combinations of the blocks.
It's pretty easy to hold these blocks, as the pieces are big and chunky. Toddlers find it easy to stack and play with the blocks. The bright colors and whimsical designs make them visually appealing to this age group. Most importantly, the Creanimaux blocks are made of solid wood with completely non-toxic, child-friendly paints and finishes.
The only gripe I had about this product was the steep price. However, when you consider the quality of the product you're getting, it does seem to justify spending the extra money.
