Napoleon Dynamite was a hit, mainly because of the portrayal of the characters in the movie. We all identified with the characters of Napoleon Dynamite - whether we were super-geeks ourselves in high school, or whether we had friends who were like Napoleon and Pedro! This action figure from Napoleon Dynamite features Napoleon in his famous "Vote For Pedro" t-shirt, captured during his hugely successful dance routine during the film. Those of you who have watched the movie will remember Napoleon's groovy dance moves. This figure is superbly sculpted and manages to portray Napoleon in all his geek glory. The figure says the following phrases: "Gosh", "You're such an idiot" and "This one gang kept wanting me to join 'cause I'm pretty good with a bo staff"
This figure from Napoleon Dynamite captures Napoleon in the midst of all the action - he's playing tetherball! The tetherball pole features a ball which appears to be swinging to and fro, but this actually is just an illusion. The Napoleon figure plays the following clips from the movie: "Yes, yes, yes, yes" and "Hey Summer, you want to play me?"
This 6 inch scale figure features Napoleon Dynamite all spruced up in his brown prom suit complete with black boots (to match??) The unruly curls, the glasses and the jacket slung over one shoulder all add to the look which only Napoleon can achieve. Of course, the open mouth is the icing on the cake. The figure says the following phrases: "So me and you are pretty much friends by now, right?" , "Took me like three hours to finish the shading on your upper lip" and "Sweet".
The Pedro figure is decked out in true Mexican style - blue jeans, blue shirt, a chunky silver belt buckle and an equally chunky silver neck accessory. Something about the stance of the figure portrays a very "Pedro-isque" attitude, but somehow the figure fails to impress. Maybe it's the hair or the expression in the eyes that didn't quite cut it. The figure says the following phrases: "If you vote for me all of your wildest dreams will come true", and "So you got my back and everything?"
Kip looks cool in his baggy black jeans, jacket to match and eagle pendant on a chain which is separate, not sculpted on. His hand gestures are great, but once again, Kip's expression could use some more work. Compared to the Napoleon figures from the same series, the Pedro and Kip figures are way behind. Kip says the following phrases: "Peace Out", "Don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day" and "I'm training to become a cage fighter"
