This DVD is well presented with less of the spoken word as compared to other Brainy Baby DVD's, concentrating rather on the content accompanied by strains of classical music from composers like Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven.
The DVD is a little too long though, and does not hold baby's attention as well as Laugh and Learn and Peek-A-Boo. Although the content is tastefully interspersed with happy babies having fun, it does get repetitive at times. The good parts of the DVD are the jigsaw puzzles which consist of pieces that fit together presented in an interactive manner which had my baby springing up to answer the questions. There are lots of stimulating and unique toys like wooden toys, and hammering, nesting and stacking toys. Left Brain teaches letters of the alphabet and spelling of words. The puppet section was entertaining, though it could have been longer. Some parts were too abstract with flashing colors which didn't appeal at all. Other parts were very engaging and demonstrated logical assembly using rings, blocks and more.
Overall, the Left Brain DVD is a pretty decent buy for your baby as it does provide stimulation.
