Constructing both the Jedi Starfighter Ship and the Vulture Droid is tons of fun. Any child will love to do this, and as an added bonus, it is very exciting to play with the finished models and Anakin minifigure and enact a Star Wars battle in outer space. Lego has done a great job with this set, although one wishes the models were a little more stable, knowing how rough young boys can be. However, for the price, this is a good Star Wars set to pick up.
- Easy to assemble
- Both starships are ultra cool looking
- Anakin minifigure makes pretend play fun
- Fragile - ships fall apart easily
- More than one minifigure would have been nice
- Jedi Starfighter is done up in shades of gray, yellow and black
- Cool add-ons add style and flair to the spacecraft
- Cockpit is spacious enough for the Anakin mini figure
- Sidewings of spacecraft can be angled for different effects
- Retractable landing gear supports ship
- Vulture Droid is in shades of blue and gray
- The robo-fighter can be converted to walker
- Decals add lot of extra zing to both models
- Great fun to build as well as play with
- Nice 2 in 1 set for little Star Wars LEGO fans
The Lego Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Jedi Starfighter & Vulture Droid (7256)Set consists of a set of 2 spaceships, and 1 Anakin minifigure complete with his blue lightsaber.
The bigger of the 2 spaceships, the Jedi Starfighter, is in shades of yellow, grey, black, white with some relief provided by the blue guns in front of the ship. The cockpit is dome shaped with space enough to put the Anakin figure. Once assembled, the ship is pretty cool looking, with the side wing flaps (supposed to be solar panels) which can be angled any way we choose, preferably downwards for the full effect. The assembly is relatively straightforward except for a few tricky details here and there, and kids will really enjoy putting the spaceship together and watch it take shape. The ship has retractable landing gears which really work, and help support the ship when on ground.
The Vulture Droid model, an unmanned robot fighter craft, is the smaller of the 2. It is in shades of blue and gray with a little red thrown in for relief. Very simple to assemble, and to convert into the walking droid, the wings turn into the legs, and the head has to be snapped on the right way. Looks apart, the ship is very fragile, and it has a tendency to fall apart during play. The wings are especially unstable. No long Star Wars duels possible with this one, unless you are careful or you don't mind picking up and rejoining the pieces when they fall apart!
