Beautiful Baby Dolls from Corolle

French doll company Corolle is known for its beautiful, high-quality, realistic baby dolls. I've become quite attached to three of them, Bebe Charmeur, Babipouce and Blue Suce Pouce. While they sound very French, I promise that they have global appeal.

They are so lovely that I find myself absently patting the doll's back, as if it were a real baby. If you smell the tops of their heads (like every parent does automatically) each of the dolls smells faintly of vanilla. If only real babies smelled so sweet!

1. Bebe Charmeur

Bebe Charmeur has a plastic face, hands and feet and a soft body. Her sweet little striped outfit is made of soft cotton and she can suck either thumb, her pacifier or her bottle, which are both included. She also comes with a terry cloth bib and little baby shoes with pink bows on top.

Bebe Charmeur's toy accessories will extend creative play and make her a perfect doll for families expecting a new baby. Boys and girls will enjoy practicing on a baby doll before their new sibling arrives. Bebe Charmeur is recommended for ages 2 and up.

2. Blue Suce Pouce

Pouce is French for "thumb" so this doll is aptly named. Dressed in blue, this sweet doll can suck either thumb or the pacifier attached to his cute little outfit. His body is soft and so is his little outfit. His eyes blink and I have to admit that, when he's sucking his left thumb with his eyes closed, he really resembles my own baby boy. He also smells faintly of vanilla and is recommended for ages 2 and up.

3. Babipouce

Babipouce is 11 inches tall and has a soft, fleecy body. I like the white doll, which is intended for Christenings (but that's not apparent on the packaging) because it's completely gender neutral. He (or she) has the same sweet, vanilla scent (though it's not overpowering) and can go into the washing machine. Babipouce is recommended for any age and is suitable for little ones.
