Guide Review - Candy Land Sweet Celebration Game Review
More than six decades ago a polio patient created Candy Land to entertain children who were fighting the disease. Since then, more than 40 million Candy Land games have been sold and a new game, Candy Land Sweet Celebration, is now available.
I'm sure my parents are not the only ones who admit to cheating at Candy Land so the game would end sooner, and they'll be happy hear that the game has evolved. Candy Land Sweet Celebration is a new, 3-D version of the board game that allows players to customize the board to make the game as long or short as they'd like.
The setup for Sweet Celebration is a bit arduous, requiring parents to assemble several stations for collecting treats. My 4-year-old son loved building the path. It reminds him of train tracks, which he is a whiz at assembling. Unfortunately the tracks came apart as we played, so it was frustrating to be constantly repairing the board. I'm not convinced that being able to customize the board is worth the extra work.
Candy Land fans will love the new areas like Choco-Slovakia, Lollipop Park and The SS Neopolitan. Cute, new characters include Captain Kidd Cone and Lord Licorice.
