The Bottom Line
I like it. I like it a lot. The "wow" factor is pretty high for the Interactive R/C Scoop 'n Shoot R/C Basketball game from Kid Galaxy. We've heard of R/C racing games, but Kid Galaxy is one of the first to come up with the idea of an interactive R/C basketball game! To top it all, the game has these extremely cute radio controlled basketball shoes which actually scoop and shoot the mini basketball into the hoop. The game is good for one to two players.

  • Radio controlled basketball shoes react surprisingly well to controller
  • The game is fast paced, fun and entertaining
Cons
  • Limited to maximum two players

  • I found it a little difficult to control the shoe vehicles
  • Makes the older generation feel even more obsolete! Lol!

Guide Review - Interactive R/C Scoop 'n' Shoot Basketball Game from Kid Galaxy
The Interactive R/C Scoop 'n Shoot R/C Basketball game from Kid Galaxy comes with 2 basketball styled radio controllers for each of the two players, 2 basketball shoe vehicles which actually do the scooping and shooting, 2 mini backboards with nets and 3 basketballs. The aim of the game is pretty simple. Like traditional basketball, shoot the basketball into the hoop and you win. You can either practice your R/C skills alone or in competition with another player.

The radio controlled sneakers are color coded to distinguish them from each other. The sneakers can be made to move in forward, backward or left and right directions. They are pretty responsive, and well, they have to be to scoop up the basketballs! There are joystick style buttons on the basketball shaped controllers for manipulating the vehicles and a "shoot" button which launches the basketball up into the air and into the hoop.

Initially, I did have a harder time figuring out how to control the shoes, but when I asked some young kid-sized testers to try it out, they found it a breeze. The young generation definitely has an edge over us in these matters! The Kid Galaxy interactive R/C game was a hit among my testers, and I can see it becoming pretty popular with the kids this year.

Here's a tidbit for those of you who are curious as to how one can operate 2 R/C vehicles together. One of them can be made to run on 27 MHz frequency, and the other should be made to run on 49 MHz frequency.
