In the Cars 2 movie, by Disney-Pixar, two cars from the original animated movie, Lightning McQueen and Mater, return for this action packed sequel. The cars now head to Europe to take part in the World Grand Prix. With themes of international espionage, the two friends meet a host of new characters that include British spies Finn McMissile (voice of Sir Michael Caine) and Holley Shiftwell (voice of Emily Mortimer). Over 300 new toys were released in conjunction with the movie. Here are five of my personal favorites that encourage children to recreate the high impact scenes of the movie using their own imagination.

1. Cars 2 Die-Cast Vehicles by Mattel

The set will include over 70 collectible die-cast vehicles. These cost-effective cars will include Lightning McQueen, Mater, and new kids on the block - Finn McMissile, Holley Shiftwell, and Francesco Bernou. (Approximate Retail Price: $3.99)

3. Cars 2 International Racing Set by LEGO

One of over 20 LEGO sets that will be released, this particular set will allow children to use their hands to snap LEGO blocks together to recreate some of the movie’s biggest scenes. Using their imagination, children will then be able to act out pivotal scenes in the movie. (Approximate Retail Price $89.99)

4. Cars 2 Tokyo Spin-Out Track Set by Mattel

Place one car on each track, and launch them simultaneously. As they enter the spinning platform, one car will jump victoriously over the lazy river, while the other spins off the track. Who will be the winner? This set can be combined with two other track sets, the Porta Corsa Track Set and Mater’s Airport Escape Track Set. (Approximate Retail Price $29.99)

5. Lightning McQueen Alive by Mattel

This Lightning McQueen is so small, it will fit in the palm of your hand. Lightning McQueen has a simple touch sensor that will bring him to life allowing him to drive forwards, backwards and complete 360s! Lightning McQueen’s microtechnology will amaze you while he moves his eyes, uses his mouth to speak phrases from the movie and shrugs his shoulders.
