Lovers of My Little Pony have a reason to rejoice. The Second annual US My Little Pony Convention is scheduled to take place this July in Minnesota.
Venue And Dates
The US MLP Convention is scheduled for July 8th and 9th in Minnesota. It will be held on the University of Minnesota Campus at Coffman Memorial Union in the Great Hall. With a much larger venue this year and a stronger team planning the fair this years numbers are expected to be nearer 500 people.
Collectors from all over the United States, Canada and around the world come for two days of "Everything MLP".
History Of The US MLP Convention And Collector's Fair
Planning for the first Convention started early summer of 2003. The
location was Las Vegas late summer 2004. With the collector and fan base
growing there was a need for a MLP Convention. The undertaking of this
event was taken on by three people none of which had ever run a
convention before. Collectors from around the world came to the first
every My Little Pony Convention August 2nd and 3rd 2004. Nearly 200
people came through the doors and many stopped by just to peak inside
and see what all the fuss was about.
Events Planned
Many events are planned on the agenda including art, writing and
customizing contests, cleaning, customizing and care demonstrations, and games.
Also planned are special guest speakers. Booths are available for both selling ponies and displaying collections.
With a large list of events in planning there will not be a dull moment at this year's event. The US MLP Fair & Collector's Convention will surely be magical and not something to miss. From Collectors to Children there will be something for everyone.
