Guide Review - Elmo Live
Elmo Live talks quite a lot, actually! He tells stories and rather bad jokes, but very expressively and with a lot of flair. Elmo Live also sings. He says so many phrases, that for a while it seems like he's always saying something new.
The best part about Elmo Live is the way he moves. There's a little blue stool that comes along with Elmo Live which Elmo sits on while relating his tales. He even crosses his legs. He manages to stand and move around without falling. I kept watching out for a fall, but the only time Elmo Live fell was when he did it intentionally.
I found the "falling" part one of the best parts about Elmo Live. Once Elmo's fallen, he asks you if you can give him a hand. When you set him upright, he thanks you for your help. It's a hoot!
Elmo Live is pretty heavy to hold. I felt that Elmo Live is more of a showpiece (or rather, showman) than a plaything. You can't pick up Elmo and cuddle him - he's too rigid. However, the kids didn't really care too much whether they held him or not. All eyes were on Elmo Live - they were really fascinated and followed his every move.
That said, Elmo Live is one awesome toy. I was very impressed by the way Elmo Live is built and by the various things he can do and say. I put Elmo Live at the top of my holiday toy list - Elmo Live is a winner all the way.
