Guide Review - Neurosmith Music Blocks
If you have a musically inclined child, I highly recommend picking up the Neurosmith Music Blocks. The set includes five brightly colored blocks and a base unit. The blocks fit into the "holders" on the unit. Each block plays a different tune. What's more is that each side of a block has a different shape on it. When selected, each shape plays a variation of the tune, depending on the music instrument associated with it. So you can hear the same tune playing, though with a different instrument.
The five blocks can be combined to create endless musical compositions, either using the same musical instrument, or by mixing several types of musical instruments. Some of the options available are violins, trumpets and xylophones.
It's very addictive once you get started with this toy! I was hooked on changing one block at a time and figuring out which musical style sounded the best for the tune I selected.
This toy is a little on the expensive side, though it does tend to get a lot of usage. It's not one of those "one time play" kind of toys. If your child has a flair for music, it is worth going in for the Neurosmith Music Blocks.
