This product has many positives and almost no negatives. It is lightweight with an easy-to-carry handle. It is affordably priced at $34.99 which includes a 21 page book and additional titles are priced at just $12.99 each. Folks, when you buy a book, you are not just getting a story reader book, you are actually buying 3-in-1 edutainment for your child.
The cutely designed remote control makes the video experience quite pleasant and addictive for your children. The only gripe that this writer has is that the animation might have been a little better designed not that it is bad, but quality could have been better.
The video mode allows your kid to move along at his/her own pace and turning pages back and forth can keep your child occupied for a long period of time. The games in the learning mode help fine tune mind and finger skills development. New books such as Dora the Explorer, Elmo, Scooby Doo and Thomas the Tank Engine will make a good starter library for the Story Reader Plus.
The unit is operated by plugging the provided color-coded cables into a regular TV.
