One of the appealing features of this dollhouse is that it is bilingual, with English and Spanish phrases being spoken. The talking Dora dollhouse is constructed of strong plastic, though it is slightly heavy and awkward to move around. The colors of the house are warm and inviting. The dollhouse opens up to reveal the interiors of the house which are unfortunately not fully furnished. There are a few pieces of furniture included like a living room couch which doubles up as a bed, a dining table which opens up to reveal a birthday cake, a fridge and oven in the kitchen, a music system, a phone and other miscellaneous accessories. It would be advisable to buy additional accessories for this house to make it more fun for your kids to play with. What is really appealing about this dollhouse is the talking appliances ! There are 6 different appliances which speak both in English and Spanish. The family portrait, the front door bell, the fridge, the oven, the music system and the kitchen table/bookshelf all have something to say. The phrases are short and sweet, like the fridge saying "I'm hungry" in English as well as in Spanish. Dora, her Mama, her Papi, and three bonus figures Diego, Boots, and Swiper come included with the Toys R Us Exclusive version. All the figures are flexible and bendable which make playing with them more fun. Overall, this dollhouse comes recommended, but you would have to buy additional furniture as well as some add ons available like the pool, greenhouse etc for it to be complete.
